Introduction to “ Van Bricht ”

Watchmaking’ Startup of the 21st century, born from the audacity of two young passionate watchmakers motivated to create a new vision of contemporary watchmaking.

The human aspect present in our creations accentuates the respect for Haute Horlogerie. The unexpected association of old know-how with watchmaking precision mechanics ensures an innovative result by enhancing the ancestral values of a high-flying craft.

Based on their own experiences and the love of a well done job, the strength of Sébastien and Bernard, our watchmakers, is "simply" to be new creators arriving on the market by bringing "fresh air" through a new conception.

Van Bricht does not wish to produce watches on a large scale, but wants to guarantee a real work of quality in its watchmaking workshop by combining new technologies with guilloche.

Van Bricht wants to offer to its customers, a human relationship, a design that will stand out directly on the wrist of connoisseurs ...

Van Bricht in short it is "back to the future".

Bernard & Sébastien project themselves into the future on the basis of ancient traditional knowledge and come back through associations of unexpected elements.

Our History

Van Bricht is the result of their two surnames shared and mixed to insist on their partnership and their double involvement.

  • Van Bricht is the result between high horological technology and craftsmanship.
  • Van Bricht is the result of a common passion ... .

Sébastien Lambricht

Sébastien, 29 years old, Belgian, has always been passionate about watchmaking. Therefore he moved on naturally to these studies which he completed with a first internship at Rolex Benelux, where he received the award “with distinction” and at the after-sales services of Patek Philip Benelux.

Graduated in 2012, he firstly started with a watchmaker position at the Tollet Jewellery store situated in Brussels. Having no possibility of development, Sébastien decided to start as an independent.

He has worked mainly for more than 4 years for the Chronograph Company based in Genval, within the after-sales department where he was taking care about brands such as: Bell & Ross, Raidillon, Lebeau-courally, Louis Erard, Vulcain or Raymond Weil.

Shortly afterwards, he became the watchmaker responsible of the International after sales service of Ressence Watch House.

Currently at the Head of the workshop located at Ressence’s Headquarters in Antwerp, he has also the role as a prototyper-watchmaker in constant search of watchmaking improvement for the brand.

Bernard Van Ormelingen

Bernard is a young 21-year-old Belgian watchmaker, and the only apprentice of the world-famous Master Engraver Alain Lovenberg for the past few years.

Bernard is one of the youngest guillocheurs of his generation and certainly the youngest through the world actually. He is already recognized by his Peers for the quality of his work. At the same time as Bernard was taking his watchmaking courses, he was trained in hand engraving and guilloche (a double training).

Since the beginning of its special craft activities, it has had to respond to the specific demands of international clients, producing guilloched dials for new watch collections.

Bernard had the privilege to perform his end of studies internship in Jaeger-LeCoultre (Switzerland) in watchmaking but also in the department of “Métiers Rares” (guilloche) where he obtained the highest distinction.

Workshop

Our Worshop consists of high quality machines, old or new systems, used appropriately according to the final production (current or antique finishes).

Daily at Van Bricht, the “Métiers Rares” associated with Haute Horlogerie courts computerised conceptualisation of the models being ordered.
